Baku, Finance Time. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Secretary General of the OIC Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu. The meeting was held within the framework of visit of Tatarstan delegation to Saudi Arabia. 

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu for regular events in Tatarstan under the auspices of the OIC. “These events form the basis of our relations,” emphasized President of Tatarstan.

International Summit: Economic cooperation of the Russian Federation and OIC countries- KAZANSUMMIT enables the rapprochement of connections with Muslim countries, strengthening of ties in the field of economics, finance and investment.

During the conversation, Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu offered Rustam Minnikhanov to establish a cooperation of Tatarstan and Islamic countries in scientific and educational spheres.
“As for the production of halal products, contacts are already formed,” said Secretary General of the OIC. 

In the end of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu for a personal invitation and the OIC attention paid to Tatarstan.
